"For this layout I took the main idea of what I saw in the sketch and used one photo instead of two because I couldn't crop it down.

For the stash item - Sequins - I actually added some to my title and layered it with rhinestones.
Great challenge!"

"Believe in the Magic" Layout by DT Tracy

Hello Crafters!

Thank you for stopping by for today's inspiration by DT member Tracy.   Here's her wonderful layout based on the January sketch challenge:
Here's what Tracy says about her layout:
"Yes, I still believe! You're never too old, right? I still get butterflies when I see Santa and I hope that feeling never goes away.

For this sketch challenge I mixed it up a bit, but the basic concept is still there. That's what I love about following a sketch, it's such a great starting point to get your design going. Additionally we were asked to incorporate sequins and I used plenty. Circle sequins along the chevron side border and also as the centers of my diecut snowflakes. Snowflake sequins were sprinkled throughout as well to add to my holiday theme. Let me point out my title, this is a cut file by 17 Turtles. With them being our sponsor this month we were given the opportunity to work with their files. So be sure to check them out!

Now it's your turn, go have some with it! I look forward to seeing your creation."

Here's GSA Bev Code's sketch...and don't forget to add SEQUINS:

 Happy Monday!!

Today we start off our week with this beautiful layout from our Design Team member Kate:
Kate shares this about her layout:

"Used the Pie Chart cut file from 17 Turtles along with the fab sketch by Bev Code. I only used one picture so that the cut file would show through; loved all the hearts! Used white on white paper but misted for a watercolor look. Used washi down the sides for the color to match my embellishments. Loved this picture of us on Christmas Day before eating Christmas diner."

"Sunday Drive Along PCH" by DT Claire

Good Morning!
Today's inspiration is this lovely page created by DT Claire, inspired by our
January Sketch Challenge.
Check out how Claire used a cut file provided by our sponsor, 17turtles on her layout:
Claire shared this about her layout:
"When I do a layout for Scrap Our Stash I always look to my older stash first, then add newer stash to complete the design. For this layout I used Echo Park This and That papers (old stash) because I wanted newsprint along with greens and browns with a bit of teal. To that I added, Basic Grey stickers from Marjolaine (new stash) and die cuts from 17turtles,
Circles within Circles cut file.
Of course to complete the layout, I added wood grain color sequins (requirement for the challenge) along with wood veneer hearts.

For more details and photos, head over to my blog, Three Waters Creations

Now it's your turn to create a layout using the sketch and sequins. I am looking forward to seeing what you create.
Enjoy!"

"A Cat's Life" Layout by DT Nicole D.

Hello and thank you for stopping by to check out today's
January Sketch
inspiration created by DT Nicole:
And here is what Nicole shared about her reveal:
"A Cat's Life" - I'm very happy today to share with you this layout of my kitty cat Sugar doing what cats do best... napping! Yes, I woke her up while taking the photo. Bad Mommy!  smile emoticon I based my layout on Bev's sketch using different big block of pattern paper on a pattern background. I digged in my paper scraps and found an old stash of My Mind's Eye "Indie Chic" which went well with the picture. I also love how the 17turtles' cut file "Good Kitty", designed by Juliana Michaels, gave me awesome layered paper embellishments to complement the photo and the sketch. I also added several black and green sequins, as required by the challenge. Like what you see? See more on my blog at http://scrap-utopia.blogspot.com/"

Here is the sketch....remember to include SEQUINS!!!

Today we are sharing some creative goodness from DT Lynn,
inspired by our January Sketch Challenge!

"For my layout, I kept the main design of the sketch but used one photo instead of two. I added sequins along the top and bottom {were there is stitching in the sketch}. Thanks for checking in and I can't wait what you create!"

"Big Dreams" LO by DT Elena

 Happy Saturday!
Today our DT member Elena is inspiring us with her awesome layout:
Closeup:
Here's what Elena said about her layout:
"My daughter (like most 5 year old girls) dreams of becoming a ballet dancer...as if I blame her. There are times that I still dream of being a dancer.

I handmade my daughter’s tutu to wear with her amphibians for the photo shoot to highlight both styles of dancing, urban and classical!
I wanted to capture both styles in creating  my page, so I used urban stamps with classic paper and flowers!”

Here is the challenge sketch...And don't forget to add SEQUINS!!!!

"Just Run" LO by DT Steffanie

Hello Crafters!
Today our fabulous Friday inspiration comes from our talented DT member Steffanie:
Steffanie shared this about her layout:
"In using this sketch from Bev Code, I kept the vertical and horizontal lines the same. I kept the title below the photos but shifted it to the right side of the page. I added an additional photo, making them narrower so they essentially cover the same amount of space as the original sketch design.

For the stash part of the challenge---to use sequins---I added some clear/iridescent ones to create the feeling of falling raindrops, in support of my theme.

The running files are from 17turtles.  I cut the running border 3 times to create a partial background. I layered up a couple other elements (the running man in the circle and the title) and raised them up with dimensional adhesive.
I really enjoyed creating this page. It''s one of the few that are just about me!"

 Here is the challenge sketch:
And don't forget your SEQUINS!!

Thank you for stopping by today and see you tomorrow!
